United World Mission

Founded in 1946, United World Mission (UWM) works arm-in-arm with the global Church to foster its leaders and bring about God's redemptive work in the world. Our Mission Equipping servant leaders with the Church for God's mission. Our Vision A flourishing Church in every place embodying Jesus' love for every person. Who We Are God is raising up leaders in many nations with great vision and undying dedication for the expanding Church. The potential is immense for local church communities around the world to advance justice in broken places, reach out with compassion to the marginalized, and engage evangelism and church planting in unreached and post-Christian contexts. The challenge is to serve alongside these leaders and communities, encouraging them in demanding ministry contexts, equipping the leaders in the way of Jesus. The moment calls for mentors, life-on-life models, trainers, teachers, and contextually developed programs for equipping leaders so that the Church can flourish in God’s mission. We believe God has called and prepared UWM to serve with the global Church in this unique moment. Since our beginnings in 1946 our DNA has formed around training ministry leaders, partnering with others, and reaching out with compassion. Today, we have over 400 global workers and hundreds of church, seminary, and ministry partnerships in 50+ nations to achieve our mission and vision. In all we do, whether serving the poor and vulnerable, nurturing new church communities, or teaching and training leaders, our calling and mandate is to partner with the Church to form the next generation of Christian servants from among the nations.
