Ruth Shattock (nee Clevely) is an experienced education professional specializing in dyslexia assessment and study skills support. Currently serving as a Specialist Dyslexia Assessor at Diagnostic Dyslexia Assessment Services since October 2020, Ruth provides diagnostic assessments for students aged 16 and older. Additionally, Ruth offers 1:1 study skills tutoring at Unitemps and Cosmic People, and provides academic support as an Academic Support Lecturer at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, where a peer support group for students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) is also run. Previously, Ruth worked as an Academic Skills Lecturer and Specialist Assessor at University College Birmingham from 2006 to 2020, where responsibilities included assessing students for exam concessions and providing tailored support. Ruth holds a Master of Arts in Adult Dyslexia Diagnosis and Support from London Southbank University and a Certificate in Education from the University of Worcester.
