Don Nicholls has extensive experience in quality management and development services within the water and engineering sectors. Currently serving as a Development Services Officer at Unitywater since May 2010, Don has been pivotal in analyzing and documenting business processes to enhance efficiency and customer service. Prior to this role, Don was an IMS Specialist at Unitywater, where responsibilities included achieving ISO certifications and conducting internal audits. Previous positions include Technical Officer at Moreton Bay Water, where ISO certifications were also attained, and QA/QC Manager at OSMAC International, where Don developed ISO9001 systems for the oilfield industry. Don's early career featured roles as Queensland State Manager and Quality Manager at Flocon Engineering, also focusing on ISO9001 implementation. Education was completed at Brisbane North Institute of TAFE.

Unitywater provides essential water supply and sewage treatment services to residents and businesses in the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Noosa regions. Every day Unitywater operates and maintains more than $3.4 billion of essential infrastructure, delivers quality drinking water and treats 60 Olympic-sized swimming pools worth of sewage for over 17% of Queensland’s population, spread across 5223 square km. Operations began on 1 July 2010 under the South-East Queensland Water (Distribution and Retail) Act 2009, as part of the Queensland Government water reform program.
