Rhodora started their career as an assistant manager in the management accounting services department at Nestle Philippines Inc. In 2000, they moved to International Distillers Philippines as a financial planning & analysis manager.

In 2006, Rhodora joined Avon Cosmetics as a senior manager for financial planning & reporting for the Asia Pacific region. After 4 years with Avon, they transferred to Coca-Cola Far East Limited as group controller for the Pacific region.

In 2010, Rhodora was promoted to director of financial analysis and insights for the Asia Pacific region of Coca-Cola. Rhodora left Coca-Cola in 2017 and spent a year as deputy chief finance officer at Universal Robina Corporation - Branded Consumer Food Group before returning to their current role as corporate controller and chief compliance & risk officer at Universal Robina Corp.

Rhodora T. Lao completed a BS in Business Administration and Accountancy from the University of the Philippines. Rhodora was a valedictorian in high school at La Consolacion College - Mendiola, Manila. Rhodora also attended Immaculate Heart of Mary College.
