Teleshia Delmar, CPA, CIA has over 20 years of experience in auditing and assurance roles. Teleshia began their career as a Staff Auditor at the Maryland Office of Legislative Audits in 1996 before moving on to become an Internal Auditor at Andrews Federal Credit Union in 1997. At Andrews, they conducted cash counts, branch audits, and investigated whistleblower allegations. In 1999, Teleshia joined SatoTravel as a Senior Auditor, where they developed audit procedures and implemented recommendations to improve internal controls, decrease costs, and increase revenue. Since 2002, they have served as the Vice President of Audit & Assurance at Universal Service Administrative Co. In this role, Teleshia oversees the day-to-day operations of the Audit & Assurance Division, leading a team of over 65 professionals, contractors, and outsourced audit firms. Teleshia manages over 150 audits and a payment quality assurance function that performs 1,000+ cases annually. Teleshia is skilled in strategic planning and demonstrates strong leadership abilities.
Teleshia Delmar, CPA, CIA has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, which they obtained from 1993 to 1996. Teleshia also graduated from Suitland High School. In terms of additional certifications, Teleshia has obtained a Certified Internal Auditor certification from the Institute of Internal Auditors in 2004, and a Certified Public Accountant certification from the Maryland State Board of Public Accountancy in 2002. Teleshia has also completed a Certificate of Completion in Developing Executive Leadership from the American Management Association in 2012.
