Abhishek Tiwari

Abhishek Tiwari is currently a PhD student at Centre hospitalier universitaire Sainte-Justine, focusing on CMV strain variations and escape mechanisms in CMV reinfections since September 2024. Abhishek has been a graduate student researcher at Université de Montréal since December 2021, investigating the communication between pericytes, neurons, and brain vasculature to understand blood flow regulation in healthy and diseased conditions, particularly Alzheimer's disease. Previous experience includes roles as a FACS operator at ICMR-NIRRH and a visiting fellow at the National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health, alongside leadership as Vice President of the Student Council at NMIMS School of Science. Abhishek holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Microbiology and Immunology (2024-2027) and a Master of Science in Neurosciences (2022-2024) from Université de Montréal, as well as a Master’s Degree in Biological Sciences from NMIMS (2016-2018) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences and Biochemistry from St. Xavier's College (2013-2016).
