Madeline Van Houten is an experienced educator currently serving as the Lead Classroom Teacher at UCDS since August 2022, previously holding the position of Resident Teacher. Prior to this role, Van Houten worked with the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion from January 2020 to August 2022 as a Student Facilitator focused on Preventing and Responding to Sexual Misconduct. Additionally, experience includes serving as a Project Administrator for the Drinking Strategies Research at Mattson Lab for a brief period in late 2021, and as the Lead Course at the City of Eugene Classic Summer Camp from June 2019 to August 2020. Van Houten also interned as a Science Education Intern at The Perkins School in January 2020. Educationally, Van Houten earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Oberlin College, completing the degree in 2022.
