Janet Godfrey is currently the Director of Community Engagement and Strategic Partnerships at University City Partners. Prior to this role, she has held positions such as Relationship Engagement Partner and Community Engagement Specialist at Novant Health, Account Executive at Titan, and Advertising Manager at Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority. Janet also has experience as the Director of Investor Relations at the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and as an Account Representative at Creative Loafing and The Charlotte Observer. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Appalachian State University, Janet has also completed programs such as Leadership Charlotte and ASC CLT Class 5.

It will be energized by transit and will be a popular and accessible destination offering diverse and unique choices for living, shopping, working, learning and enjoying leisure time. It will become a premier employment center in the region with sophisticated infrastructure and attractive amenities. The organization concentrates resources in these three key areas: planning and development, economic development and marketing and communications. As a catalyst, facilitator and thought leader, University City Partners promotes public/private partnerships to create and sustain the economic vitality of University City.
