Erming Pei is a Cloud/HPC specialist with extensive experience in research computing, currently serving as a member of the Cloud National Team at the Digital Research Alliance of Canada since December 2015. Based at the University of Alberta, Erming provides support to researchers across Canada. As a Senior System Analyst at the University of Alberta since July 2010, Erming has held roles in system analysis and management. Previous positions include Manager of External Relations for the Cloud Computing National Team at Compute Canada and operations management for scientific computing projects at institutions such as CERN and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Erming Pei holds a Master of Computer Applications and a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Applications in High Energy Physics from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Institute of High Energy Physics, CAS, respectively.
