Shannon Collier-Tenison

Shannon Collier-Tenison holds extensive experience in academia, currently serving as a Professor of Social Work and Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs for Faculty Relations and Administration at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock since July 2006. In this role, Shannon oversees faculty development, personnel processes, and infrastructure management, alongside other responsibilities related to academic advising and institutional reporting. Prior positions include Associate Professor and various dean roles within the College of Business, Health, and Human Services, where Shannon supported undergraduate programs and fostered partnerships with two-year institutions. Shannon also served as Interim Co-Director of the School of Social Work and BSW Program Coordinator. Shannon earned a Ph.D. in Social Work and a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hendrix College.
