Cynthia Nance currently serves as the Dean and Nathan G. Gordon Professor of Law at the University of Arkansas School of Law, a position held since July 2022. Nance has an extensive academic career at the University of Arkansas, starting as an Assistant Professor of Law in July 1994, later advancing to Associate Professor, Professor, and Dean of the School of Law. Nance also held the title of Dean Emeritus and directed Pro Bono and Community Engagement from May 2016 to June 2018. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, a Master of Arts in Finance from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Chicago State University.
