Shruti Doshi

Shruti Doshi is an experienced professional in international events and communications, currently serving as the International Events Lead at the University of Birmingham since September 2010. In this role, Shruti has successfully coordinated the launch of prominent initiatives such as the India Institute and the China Institute, overseeing events, website development, and social media strategies. Prior to this, Shruti operated as a freelance broadcast journalist in major cities including New York, London, Cardiff, and Birmingham from 1999 to 2010. Shruti's extensive background includes a decade at BBC Midlands as a presenter and producer, as well as various reporting and research roles across prominent broadcasters like ITV Central and BBC Wales. Shruti holds a Bachelor’s Degree in South Asian Studies from SOAS University of London.
