Cynthia Watson

Cynthia Watson is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in health, wellness, and community engagement. Currently serving as a Senator at the University of Calgary and Chief Executive Officer of Vivo for Healthier Generations, Watson is dedicated to promoting healthier lifestyles and addressing the challenges of sedentary behavior. In addition to these roles, Watson is involved with the Parks Foundation Calgary and ActiveCITY Collective as a board member and co-chair, respectively, focusing on accessible sport and active experiences. Previously, Watson held various leadership positions including Director at the Canadian Academy for Healthier Generations and Chief Operating Officer at Talisman Centre for Sport & Wellness. Educationally, Watson holds a Master of Arts in Leadership & Training from Royal Roads University and has completed multiple certifications and courses, indicating a commitment to continuous professional development.
