Vikrant Kumar

Vikrant Kumar is currently a Graduate Student at the University of Calgary, focusing on Graduate Research in Quantum Computing at the Institute for Quantum Science & Technology under the supervision of a professor. Prior to this, Vikrant served as a Project Assistant at TCG CREST, where development of hybrid quantum computing methods and implementation on Dwave annealers and superconducting qubit platforms took place. Vikrant's background includes a BS-MS dual degree in Physics from IISER Kolkata, where involvement as Secretary of the Chess Club, a Research Intern in the Molecular Dynamics Lab, and as an Event Organizer for the INQUIVESTA Chess tournament occurred. Additional experience includes working as a Master Thesis Student at IIT Indore on machine learning applications in astronomy, as an Advanced Physics Subject Expert at Chegg Inc., and conducting research in X-ray Astronomy at the UM-DAE Center for Excellence in Basic Sciences.
