K. K. Ramakrishnan is a distinguished professor at the University of California, Riverside, since July 2014, focusing on Software-Based Networks and Information-Centric Networking with applications in Disaster Management. Prior to this, Ramakrishnan served as a CoAdjutant at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, conducting research on Information-Centric Networking and Network Function Virtualization, and as a consultant at EY. From 1994 to 2013, Ramakrishnan was a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Labs Research, emphasizing cloud computing integration, disaster recovery, and network function virtualization. Ramakrishnan is also the founder and Vice President of Technology at TeraOptic Networks Inc. and held positions at Digital Equipment Corporation. Ramakrishnan holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, a Master's degree from the Indian Institute of Science, and a Bachelor's degree from the University Visveswaraya College of Engineering.
