Alexander Marr

Alexander Marr is a seasoned professional in public health and data analysis, currently serving as a Senior Research Data Analyst and Technical Advisor at the University of California, San Francisco since August 2012. In this role, Alexander developed a comprehensive training program for COVID-19 outbreak management, successfully training over 900 outbreak managers across California by October 2021. Prior experience includes positions at the California Department of Public Health as a California Epidemiologic Investigative Service Fellow, where Alexander focused on STD epidemiology, and as a District AIDS Coordinator Volunteer with the Peace Corps, enhancing data management for HIV and TB. Alexander's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Global Health Sciences from the University of California, San Francisco, along with a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Tulane University and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Boston University.
