Shanda Hunt

Shanda Hunt, JD, CHRC, currently serves as the Director of Compliance and Strategic Advisor for the UC AI Council at the University of California Office of the President, a position held since June 2024. Previously, Shanda held the role of Interim Assistant Vice Chancellor of Research Compliance and Integrity at UC San Diego from December 2023 to June 2024. Shanda's extensive experience at the University of California Office of the President includes various leadership roles in compliance, such as Systemwide Associate Director and Systemwide Research Compliance Officer, spanning from April 2016 to December 2023. Earlier professional roles include Assistant Director at the Epidemiological Research Center at UC Berkeley, Principal Analyst in the Controller's Office for the City and County of San Francisco, and Contracts & Grants Administrator at both UC Berkeley and UCSF. Shanda earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the same institution.
