Sam Stranks

Sam Stranks is a Professor of Energy Materials and Optoelectronics at the University of Cambridge, where roles also include Royal Society University Research Fellow and Professor of Optoelectronics. Since May 2021, Sam Stranks has co-founded Sustain/Ed, which creates STEM-focused educational platforms aimed at engaging students in addressing climate change. Additionally, Sam Stranks serves as Lead Academic Advisor for Swift Solar and previously held a Marie Curie IOF Fellowship at both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Cambridge. Sam Stranks completed a Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics at the University of Oxford and holds degrees in Experimental Physics, Theoretical Physics, Physical Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, and German Studies from the University of Adelaide.
