Tiago Cavalcanti is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in the field of Economics. Currently a Professor in Economics at the University of Cambridge since September 2007, Tiago has also held various academic roles within the same institution, including Reader in Economics and Senior University Lecturer. In addition, Tiago serves as a Professor in Economics at FGV EESP since January 2016. Previously, Tiago was a Professor Tittular and Professor Adjunto at UFPE from June 2003 to June 2013, and an Assistant Professor at Universidade Nova de Lisboa from September 2001 to September 2004. Tiago holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, awarded between 1997 and 2001, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, obtained from 1991 to 1995.
