Leigh Beattie

Leigh Beattie is an accomplished professional in the fields of game development and IT management, currently serving as a Director at Bad Chair Design Limited since March 2024. With extensive experience in various roles, Beattie has worked as a Game Design Technician at the University of Canterbury since August 2020, and previously held positions as a Game Developer and Systems Administrator at DIGITAL CONFECTIONERS LIMITED from May 2014 to August 2020, and as a Game Developer at Epic Games from October 2019 to June 2020, contributing to projects like Fortnite Creative. Before these roles, Beattie was the IT Manager and Software Engineer at the University of Canterbury and provided IT support for HITLabNZ, demonstrating a strong background in both technical and creative aspects of game development, as well as comprehensive IT management. Beattie earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Canterbury in 2010.
