Mark Lavenia

Mark LaVenia is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Canterbury, part of the Child Well-Being Research Institute since August 2024. Prior to this role, Mark served as a Data Strategist at EdReports.org from October 2017 to May 2024. Mark's academic career began at Florida State University, where Mark held the position of Assistant in Research at the Learning Systems Institute from July 2011 to August 2017. Additionally, Mark worked as a Teacher and Literacy Coach at Lake County Schools in Florida from August 1997 to July 2006. Mark earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership and Policy from Florida State University, completing the degree in 2016.
