Meng Xu

Meng (Max) Xu is an experienced professional with a diverse background in application support, education, media, and communications. Currently serving as an Application Support Consultant at the University of Canterbury since 2016, Meng has also held roles including ITS Service Desk Advisor, Videographer, Event Coordinator, and SOAR Advisor, providing extensive support and mentorship to students. Additionally, Meng is the Executive Director and Editor In Chief of New Zealand Review, a leading Chinese website in New Zealand, and serves as a Technical Consultant for Unbox New Zealand. As the founder of Gateway China (NZ), Meng has demonstrated entrepreneurial skills while previously working as a Marketing Consultant and Communications Manager. Meng holds a PhD in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Canterbury and has experience in teaching, having lectured at the University of Canterbury International College.
