Yasas Sri Wickramasinghe

Yasas Sri Wickramasinghe is a Doctoral Candidate in Augmented Reality at the University of Canterbury, contributing to the field since May 2022, while also serving as a Senior Lecturer and Curriculum Developer at Yoobee College of Creative Innovation since March 2023. A prominent Tech Speaker for Conferences & Events Ltd since May 2017, Yasas specializes in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality. Previously, a University Lecturer at the University of Moratuwa, Yasas also held various visiting lecturer roles in software development and database management. As a co-founder of NavitaZ VR Labs, Yasas focused on augmented and virtual reality applications. Yasas has a strong background in education, with degrees including a BSc. (Hons) in Information Technology from the University of Moratuwa and specialization in Virtual Reality from the University of London. Additionally, Yasas is passionate about inspiring youth through motivational speaking, exemplified by the SL Inspire seminar series in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Sri Lanka.
