Derick Brown

Derick Brown is a seasoned professional in academic advising and student support, currently serving as the Associate Director/Lead Learning Specialist and previously as Assistant Director/Lead Learning Specialist at the University of Central Florida since May 2013. With a focus on enhancing the academic experience for student-athletes, Derick has been instrumental in advising softball players and creating supportive learning environments. Prior experience includes mentoring football student-athletes at the University of Central Florida Athletic Department and serving as an Assistant Academic Advisor for Men's Basketball at the University of Arkansas, where responsibilities included academic monitoring and support for at-risk student-athletes. Derick also has a background in facility management and program coordination through roles at the Fayetteville Athletic Club. Derick holds a Master's degree in Sports Management and Recreation from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Pfeiffer University.
