Herbert James

Herbert (Tommy) James is an experienced architecture professional currently serving as Director of Architecture and Professor at the University of Central Florida since June 2016. Prior to this role, Tommy held the position of Project Manager at Studio 407 from August 2018 to August 2023 and was an Adjunct Professor at Valencia Community College from 2012 to August 2022. Tommy's career includes roles as Project Coordinator at HHCP Architects, Architectural Designer at HuntonBrady Architects, and Designer at WATG, among others. Tommy began the architectural journey with internships at esteemed organizations such as Walt Disney Imagineering and Jay Reeves & Associates. Tommy earned a Master's degree in Architecture and Planning from the University of Florida, completed in 2008.
