Karen Hatcher has extensive experience in athletic administration and strategic consulting, serving as Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director at the University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics from December 2012 to June 2020. Key roles included overseeing external relations, managing fundraising efforts, and developing strategic partnerships with major media entities. Prior to this, Karen operated Hatcher & Associates Marketing, providing consulting services to Fortune 500 companies and professional sports teams. Earlier career experience includes serving as Director of Special Events for the Houston Astros, where responsibilities included managing advertising and game operations. Karen holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in Sports Administration and Communications, respectively.

The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics competes at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics with the vision to reach Next Level Success for all 18 varsity teams and more than 500 student-athletes. The Bearcats have a proud athletics history, winning eight national championships and 117 conference titles. UC student-athletes collectively posted a 3.369. overall GPA in the spring of 2022 with 77 percent earning spots on the Honor Roll.
