Flavia Bastos is a distinguished research professor in the Arts and Humanities at the University of Cincinnati, where contributions span from March 2001 to the present. Responsibilities at the university have included roles as Provost Fellow, interim associate dean of the Graduate College, executive director of the Emeriti Association, and various faculty positions. In addition to academia, Flavia holds trustee and board member positions with Cincinnati Opera, Breakthrough Cincinnati Inc., Local Learning, and previously with Arts Midwest and Cincinnati Ballet. Flavia also served as the Higher Education Division Director for the National Art Education Association. Prior academic experience includes a position as assistant professor at Ball State University and education completed at Indiana University Bloomington from 1992 to 2008.
