Christina Akirtava, Ph.D. is currently an RNA Bioscience Initiative Fellow at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus since August 2023. In addition, Christina has been a Data Consultant at Carnegie Mellon University since June 2017, volunteering at the Data Collaborations Lab and serving as a Teacher Assistant for a Data Analysis course in Biological Sciences, which focuses on experimental design, statistics, and R programming. Christina holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biology/Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University (2017-2023) and has previous experience as a Call Center Representative at RenXChange, a Resident Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Research Assistant at TU Dortmund University.
