Sean McGrath

Sean McGrath is an experienced professional in the fields of molecular and developmental biology, stem cell research, and tissue modeling. Currently serving as an Instructor and Manager of the Organoid and Tissue Modeling Shared Resource at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus since August 2016, Sean previously held the position of Manager for the Stem Cell Biobank and Disease Modeling Core at the Gates Center for Regenerative Medicine. Prior experience includes a PhD Graduate Student role at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, a Microbiologist position at Smithfield Foods, and a Research and Development Engineer at Eveia Medical, Inc. Sean's early experiences include work as an Undergraduate Researcher at Colorado State University, exploring neurodegenerative disorders, and as a Chemical Engineering Intern at TOLMAR Inc. Sean holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular and Developmental Biology from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Colorado State University.
