Amit Savkar

Amit Savkar is a seasoned academic and entrepreneur, currently serving as a Professor in Residence and Director of the Quantitative Center at the University of Connecticut since August 2007. Savkar has held various leadership roles, including Interim Associate Vice Provost and Director of Online Programs in the Department of Mathematics, demonstrating a commitment to educational excellence and innovation. In parallel, Savkar is the President and CEO of Stemify, which focuses on enhancing student success in STEM fields through adaptive instruction and analytics. Previously, Savkar worked as an Application Engineer at Coventor, providing technical support for MEMS design solutions. Educational credentials include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a Doctor of Philosophy in Education Psychology from the University of Connecticut, reflecting a strong foundation in both engineering and educational assessment.
