Matt Lamalfa

Matt LaMalfa is an experienced professional in hockey operations and equipment management, currently serving as the Director of Women's Hockey Operations and Equipment at the University of Connecticut since June 2023. Prior to this role, Matt held positions as the Director of Hockey Operations & Equipment at Mercyhurst University from July 2019 to June 2023 and as the Director of Hockey Operations/Equipment Manager at Merrimack College Athletics from September 2012 to July 2019. Matt's extensive responsibilities included budget management, travel coordination, alumni engagement, compliance liaison, academic support for players, video management, and team scheduling. Early career experiences included serving as Head Student Equipment Manager and Sports Information Intern at Merrimack College, as well as expertise in facility management as Head Lifeguard at Glastonbury Hills Country Club. Matt holds a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Merrimack College.
