Carrie A. Olson

Carrie A. Olson, PhD, is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of Denver since September 2022. With extensive experience in education, Olson has served as a Museum Teacher Fellow at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum since 2006 and was an Adjunct Professor at the Morgridge College of Education at the University of Denver from January 2020 to August 2022. Prior to these roles, Olson worked as an educator in Denver Public Schools from August 1985 to January 2018. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction, particularly focused on Holocaust and Genocide Studies from the University of Denver, a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction specializing in Language, Literacy, and Culture from the University of Colorado Denver, and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Spanish from Wartburg College.
