Helen Wiseman

As Director of People and Culture, Helen leads on all people matters and is responsible for the achievement of the University’s strategic aims through its workforce.

Helen started her early HR career working for the NHS; then spent a number of years living and working in Germany for the MOD. Upon returning from overseas she worked as a tutor for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), then spent a period of time working in special needs education. Before joining UEA in 2019 she worked as a HR Director for a large veterinary corporate. She is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and also holds a postgraduate qualification in Employment Law which she studied at the UEA.
