Adam McKenzie

Adam McKenzie is a Research Associate at the University of Glasgow, contributing to the Critical Technologies Accelerator project and focusing on quantum-critical enabling semiconductor technologies. Recent efforts include developing near-IR DFB lasers for atomic clock applications and securing two independent research fellowships (JSPS and 1851). Adam held a JSPS Research Fellowship at the University of Tokyo, engaging in research on next-generation InP photonic integrated circuits and fostering collaborations in Japan. Prior experience includes serving as a KTP Associate at Vector Photonics, developing reliability technologies for photonic crystal surface emitting lasers, and working as a lead MOCVD Engineer at Sivers Photonics, where Adam conducted PhD research while overseeing production processes. Adam earned a PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering and an MSci in Chemical Physics from the University of Glasgow.
