Daniel Maya

Phd Graduate Research Assistant at University of Houston

Daniel Maya is currently serving as the Vice President of the Wildcatters - University of Houston AAPG Student Chapter and holds the position of PhD Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Houston, focusing on basin analysis for hydrocarbon exploration in Argentinean northern offshore basins. Daniel also leads the AAPG Young Professionals Ecuador as President and previously completed an apprenticeship with the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Additional experience includes roles as a Junior Geologist at Best Energy Services S.A., an Operation Intern at Pluspetrol, a Reservoir Development Technician at Repsol, and a Research Study Assistant at INIGEMM Ecuador. Daniel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Escuela Politécnica Nacional and is pursuing a PhD in Geology at the University of Houston.
