Janea A. Charles

Janea A. Charles, MBA, MSW, LCSW, serves as a Social Work Care Manager at Harris Health System, where responsibilities include developing departmental guidelines, leading staff meetings, and managing a caseload of 100-130 clients facing chronic health issues. Additionally, Janea provides psycho-social counseling to patients and families and has played a mentorship role for graduate students from the University of Houston, two of whom secured positions at Harris Health. Concurrently, Janea is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston, teaching courses in Healthcare in Social Work and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM 5-TR).
