Keith Lancaster

Keith Lancaster is an Instructional Assistant Professor at the University of Houston since September 2011, where responsibilities include teaching C++, Java, Ruby on Rails, and Information Systems within the College of Technology, along with conducting research in the Biomedical Imaging Lab focused on smartphone-based image processing for skin disease diagnosis. As a founder and partner at Tracker Systems, LLC, and owner of Software on the Side since 2008, Lancaster specializes in custom software development and consulting with an emphasis on Ruby on Rails and iPhone applications, while currently developing a startup to commercialize medical imaging technologies. Previous roles include CTO and EVP at Compiled Logic Corporation, QA Manager at Noblestar, VP of Technology at Scalable Software, Program Development Manager at Landmark Graphics, and Development Lead/Manager at Futuresoft Engineering. Lancaster holds a PhD in Biomedical Image Processing, an MSEE, and a BSEE, all from the University of Houston.
