Rachel Thompson is an experienced fundraising and development professional with a robust background in donor relations and prospect development. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Stewardship and Donor Relations at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign since September 2024, Rachel previously held various roles at Tel Aviv University USA, including Research and Prospect Development Associate and Development Associate from May 2021 to September 2024. Rachel’s career began at the University of Illinois Foundation as a Prospect Development Analyst from July 2019 to May 2021, complemented by internships in social media management, archival research, and advancement at several institutions, including Living History Farms and the Phi Mu Foundation. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and participated in a study abroad program at the University of York in 2018.
