Dan Sluga

Dan Sluga currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer for the Illinois State Comptroller, a position held since June 2024. Additionally, Dan has been an Adjunct Instructor at Saint Louis University and the University of Illinois Springfield since August 2022 and January 2014, respectively, teaching courses including "Data Structures and Algorithms", "Software Engineering Capstone", "Computer Organization", "Predictive Security", and "Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies." Prior experience includes roles as Co-Acting Statewide Chief Information Security Officer and Deputy Chief Information Security Officer at the Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology, and Chief Information Officer for the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board. Dan's educational background includes a Master's degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Springfield, as well as studies at Illinois College.
