Garland Rodriguez

Garland Rodriguez has extensive experience in higher education and athletics management. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of the Student Union at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette since August 2008, Rodriguez oversees a budget of $4.2 million and manages Building Services Staff and student workers. Prior to this role, Rodriguez worked at Louisiana State University from July 2006 to August 2008 as the Assistant Athletic Equipment Manager, responsible for purchasing and maintaining athletic equipment for multiple varsity sports and assisting with the operations of Tiger Stadium. Rodriguez also held the position of Assistant Athletic Equipment Manager at Tulane University from July 2005 to July 2006, where responsibilities included managing equipment for football and baseball and facilitating the relocation of the football team post-Hurricane Katrina. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in General Studies from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, completed in 2004.
