Phillip Russo

Phillip Russo currently serves as the Associate Director of Development at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, a position held since November 2022, where responsibilities include securing private support and maintaining relationships within the Office of Development. Prior to this role, Phillip was the Interim Director and Senior Business Consultant at the Louisiana Small Business Development Center from April 2015 to November 2022, recognized with the 2018 State Star Award for exceptional service. Phillip’s earlier career includes positions as an Abstractor at Coastal Land Services, Inc., HPS Oil & Gas Properties, Inc., and BETA Land Services, where expertise in title research and project coordination was developed. Additionally, Phillip held roles in account management at First Heritage Credit, LLC, and Republic Finance, showcasing a strong background in customer service and sales. Phillip Russo earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management and Operations from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2008.
