Mark Salazar

Mark Salazar has extensive experience in event management and operations, currently serving as the Manager of Events and Facilities at the University of Maryland since January 2012, where previous roles included Event Support Coordinator. Prior experience spans multiple organizations, including D.C. United as Operations Game Day Staff from April 2007 to May 2021, guest services at The Fillmore Silver Spring, and Event Marketing Director at TEAM Coalition. Mark also held the position of Sports Director at Special Olympics Maryland, as well as Coordinator of Intramural Sports and Events at the University of Maryland, College Park. Mark's academic background includes a Master's degree in Sports Management from James Madison University and a Bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Maryland.
