Chris Manzie

Chris Manzie serves as the Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Melbourne, where responsibilities include leading strategic initiatives focused on developing future engineering and IT leaders and transformative technologies. Manzie's extensive academic career includes roles such as Assistant Dean (Research Training) and Mechatronics Discipline Leader in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, as well as experience as a Research Fellow, Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, and Associate Professor. Additional international experience includes positions as a Visiting Scientist at IFP Energies nouvelles and a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, San Diego. Manzie holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Engineering, alongside Bachelor degrees in Science (Physics, Mathematics) and Engineering (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) from the University of Melbourne.
