Ramin Shayan Mbbs

Ramin Shayan MBBS, PhD (Uni Melb), FRACS (Plastics) is an accomplished plastic surgeon and academic with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne and as the Director (Clinical) and Executive Officer at Gertrude Biomedical, Ramin holds multiple roles including Director of the O'Brien Institute of Microsurgery and Lab Head of the Lymphatics Group at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. Ramin has been instrumental in shaping the identity and management of the O'Brien Institute, now merged with St Vincent's Institute for Medical Research. Additionally, Ramin has a private plastic surgery practice and provides expertise in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery across various leading health institutions. With advanced degrees in plastic surgery and lymphatic vessel biology from the University of Melbourne, Ramin has contributed significantly to the field, particularly in areas such as skin cancer surgery and lymphedema treatment.
