Barbara Fugate

Barbara Fugate currently serves as the Chair of the Technological Leadership Institute Advisory Board at the University of Minnesota since November 2024. Previously, Barbara held the position of Executive Vice President, CIO, and CSO at United Bankers' Bank from May 2016 to November 2024, and prior to that, served as the Director of Technology at Anchor Bank from January 2014 to April 2016. Barbara's career in information technology also includes roles such as Vice President of Information Technology at Western Bank and Vice President of Information Systems at American Bank. Earlier professional experience includes a position as AVP at EastPoint Technology and serving as an Intelligence Officer in the US Marine Corps from 1980 to 1983. Barbara possesses a Master of Science in Security Technologies with a minor in Management of Technology from the University of Minnesota, along with a Master's Degree from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Doane University.
