Mary Winstead

Mary Winstead is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic development communications and writing. Currently serving as a Senior Writer at the University of Minnesota Foundation since 2007, Mary specializes in crafting case statements, proposals, and feature stories for major donors, as well as speeches for the university's president. As a self-employed freelance writer and editor since 1987, Mary has developed a diverse portfolio that includes articles, book proposals, and manuscripts. Previous roles include Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at St. Olaf College, Editor at Fairview Foundation, and Public Information Officer for the State of Minnesota. Mary holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Creative Writing emphasis from St. Catherine University.
