Tony Thomas

Tony Thomas is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the Associate Director for Academic Support Resources IT at the University of Minnesota since August 2016, where responsibilities include managing Integrated Solutions teams focused on application development, data engineering, and eForms workflows. Prior roles at the University include managing the Application Development Team and serving as a Ruby on Rails developer, as well as a web developer in the College of Education and Human Development. Tony's career also includes software engineering at LeadPages, web development and project management at the University of Minnesota, independent consulting, and data management for Clinical Virology Programs. Additionally, Tony has a background in podcast production, having produced over 180 episodes highlighting Minnesota music. Educational qualifications include a BA in English Literature from the University of Minnesota and studies at Minneapolis College.
