Justin Swanson

Justin Swanson is the Director of Development for the UNL College of Business at the University of Nebraska Foundation. Justin has previous experience working as the Director of Community Engagement for Global Partners in Hope, and as a Law Clerk for Legal Aid of Nebraska in Omaha. In their current position, Justin is responsible for engaging with individuals and organizations who have partnered with the UNL College of Business, identifying and building new partnerships, overseeing communication and social media outreach, finding and developing new and existing sources of funding, creating and curating content for the UNL website, facilitating presentations and booths at conferences, and capturing photos of important events and locations.

Justin Swanson is a graduate of Millard West High School. Justin received their B.A. in English/Communications from Trinity International University. Justin then went on to earn their M.A. in Journalism from the University of Nebraska College of Journalism and Mass Communication. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Nebraska College of Law.

Justin Swanson reports to Amy Volk, CDO, Nebraska Medicine and SVP, UNMC Development. They are on a team with Amy Kloefkorn - Senior Director of Development, UNL College of Business, Sue Kutschkau - Interim VP, UNO Advancement, and Marcia White - Director of Development, UNL Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
