Michelle Hooper

Michelle Hooper currently serves as the Director of NSHE Payroll Services at the University of Nevada, Reno since May 2024. Prior to this role, Michelle held the position of Assistant Payroll Manager at the same institution from October 2016 to July 2021. Michelle's career began at the University of Nevada Las Vegas as an Accountant Technician from May 1998 to June 2005, followed by a tenure as a Personnel Analyst at Nevada State College from June 2005 to October 2007. Michelle further advanced to the role of Manager at the College of Southern Nevada from October 2007 until October 2016, and started the professional journey as a Payroll Specialist at Edison Community College from November 1994 to April 1998. Michelle earned a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration with a focus on Law Enforcement from Nevada State University between 2005 and 2008.
