Peter Valentin, Ph.D., ABC-CC, CSCSA, is currently an Associate Professor and Chair of the Forensic Science Department at the University of New Haven, a position held since August 2011. In addition to academic responsibilities, Peter serves as President of Valentin Forensics LLC, specializing in crime scene reconstruction and bloodstain pattern analysis. Previously, Peter worked as a Detective for the Connecticut State Police from June 2001 to August 2011, focusing on crime scene investigations related to homicides and suspicious deaths. Peter has also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at Post University and the University of Hartford. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Nanosciences and Advanced Technologies from the University of Verona, a Master of Science in Forensic Science-Criminalistics from the University of New Haven, and a Bachelor of Science Cum Laude in Forensic Science from John Jay College (CUNY).
